Privacy and data policy
The email addresses of our mail list subscribers is only used for the distribution of the engineering timelines newsletter. We will not sell or pass on the addresses, or any other information provided by subscribers, to any other organisation. We do not allow the email addresses of our mail list members to be used to send unsolicited email.
The mail list and any data supplied by subscribers his held in electronic format only. We retain only names and email addresses. Engineering timelines' access is limited to the newsletter editor and the company administrator. The data is held by a third party service provider (MailChimp) the processes of which comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679.
An individual's data will be held until either the subscriber unsubscribes or requests deletion, or the newsletter ceases production. We do not retain any information about a subscriber once their data is deleted from the mail list.
Your rights as a subscriber include the right to:
— Request to see the data held
— Require us to change incorrect data
— Require us to delete or stop using the data
— Object to the use of the data (through the UK's Information Commissioner)
— Not be subject to automated decision-making (such as profiling)
Subscribers can unsubscribe at any time, either by following the link at the foot of the newsletters, or by contacting us directly by email at firstname.lastname@example.org

The lawful basis for engineering timeline's processing of subscriber data (in other words using the information to distribute the newsletter) is the consent of the subscriber, which is given through the sign-up process and can be withdrawn on request, as outlined above.
